Belfort

Belfort is on a mission to revolutionize the internet's data security and privacy by making computing on encrypted data fast and cost-effective. This technology allows the harnessing and processing of data by an untrusted party while guaranteeing privacy and security, offering immense societal and economic benefits. Belfort offers hardware acceleration that makes computing on encrypted data faster, cheaper, and more energy efficient, available as a service through a licensed cloud-based access model (already live through AWS FPGA instances). We're the first to experimentally demonstrate a working hardware accelerator for this technology. Belfort is a spin-off of the research group COSIC of KU Leuven, and was founded by a team with longstanding roots and proven excellence in hardware for cryptography.
