Calpech

Calpech produces carbon-encapsulated iron nanoparticles using patented hydrothermal carbonization technology licensed from the University of Alicante. Leveraging a circular economy model, they utilize agricultural waste for production, reducing costs and environmental impact. These nanoparticles have diverse environmental applications, including enhancing biogas production and purity (e.g., hydrogen sulfide removal), removing heavy metals (like cadmium, copper, nickel, zinc) from contaminated water and soil, treating industrial gases, neutralizing odors, and potentially acting as nanofertilizers to combat issues like iron chlorosis in agriculture. Calpech aims to bridge scientific research and practical application to provide impactful environmental solutions.
