CleanCaptureTech, founded in 2021 by MIT engineers, is a company focused on developing and commercializing a next-generation direct air capture (DAC) technology. Their adsorbent-based system aims to capture carbon dioxide with high efficiency and lower energy requirements, utilizing a patented solid absorbent with a novel plate and heat exchanger design. The technology is designed for mass production using off-the-shelf components and aims for a low-cost path to scale up.
