Halide Energy has developed a novel copper redox flow battery for use in long-duration storage applications in grid and industrial scale applications to support and manage over-supply of renewable energy production. Our technology overcomes the disadvantages faced by conventional battery techs such as the degradation, high lifetime costs, and supply chain issues, while meeting competitive performance benchmarks. We are now preparing to set up a small-scale production facility in Finland to manufacture the first battery systems for pilot users by end-2025, with full commissioning in 2026.
