Job description
•As the VP of Engineering at Kynexis, you will play a pivotal role in leading and scaling our multidisciplinary engineering team, encompassing hardware, software, and automation. You will be responsible for defining and executing the company's technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals in the biotech automation space. This leadership position demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and exceptional management skills to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and grow the engineering organization, attracting and retaining top talent.
- Define and execute the comprehensive technology strategy and roadmap for Kynexis's products and platforms.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from conception through development, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality standards and timely delivery.
- Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging creative solutions and embracing new technologies relevant to biotech automation.
- Collaborate closely with product management, research, and commercial teams to ensure engineering efforts align with market needs and business objectives.
- Manage the engineering budget, resources, and vendor relationships effectively.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the engineering team.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes.
Preferred experiences
•Proven track record of successful engineering leadership, preferably in industries such as robotics, automation, medical devices, or life sciences.
Strong technical background across relevant engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software development, systems integration).
Demonstrated experience in scaling engineering teams within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a PhD is considered a plus.
Experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is highly advantageous.
