ADix

The greatest problem in the dementia research field has been identified as lengthy and costly diagnostic procedures that disables researchers in finding eligible participants and larger sets of samples for studies and clinical trials. Patients who cannot undergo examination run a greater risk of cognitive impairment. It is crucial that dementia is detected in time to slow down the brain's declining activities, before the symptoms appear and the damages to the brain are irreversible. There is a great need to develop faster and more cost-efficient screening tools. Early detection would benefit researchers in the quest to find reliable treatments, and subsequently that would benefit patients, caregivers, and society in whole. ADix is a smartphone-based app that utilizes machine learning technology to identify digital phenotypes for early detection of dementia.
