InsectSense is a deeptech start-up that can objectively measure taste properties. They are developing disruptive innovations inspired by insects that create positive societal and environmental impact. Their TONGUE-on-Chip technology identifies flavour and health-related bioactivities by mimicking the sensing mechanism of humans, animals and insects. This technology can be used for objective measurement and profiling of flavour, screening and identifying valuable ingredients from organic resources and sidestreams, and identifying potential health benefits and hazards of products, such as food, water and pharmaceuticals.
