Head of Engineering
Job description
•As the Head of Engineering at Digital Riders, you will be responsible for leading our engineering teams, defining technical strategy, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions. You will play a crucial role in shaping our engineering culture, fostering innovation, and driving technical excellence.
What you'll do:
- Lead, manage, and mentor engineering teams (Backend, Frontend, QA, etc.).
- Define and implement the overall engineering strategy, architecture, and processes.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, and other stakeholders to align technology solutions with business goals.
- Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of our software products.
- Ensure code quality, performance, scalability, and reliability of our systems.
- Manage the engineering budget, resources, and vendor relationships.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence within the engineering department.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends.
Preferred experiences
•What you bring:
- Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role (e.g., Head of Engineering, Director of Engineering, Engineering Manager) in a tech company.
- Strong technical background, preferably with hands-on experience in software development.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, development methodologies (Agile/Scrum), and best practices.
- Experience managing multiple engineering teams and complex projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
